Caplum Core

CAPLUM Network Infrastructure Manager for private networks, integrating structured and non structured cabling, voice and data networks, fibre local and wide area networks and multiple sites. Caplum is a web application using .NET HTML interface and as such can be deployed on the customers servers or run from a remote managed server. CAPLUM has now been installed at over 300 sites in the UK and Europe in a wide variety of organisations whose cable management requirements vary dramatically. From campus sites such as Oxford, Cambridge and Reading Universities to large corporations as well as governmental, NHS and military sites.

Caplum records and manages every circuit in your network, taking control of your moves and changes and monitoring and tracking those changes. Allowing long term planning as Caplum locks all the equipment required for a change and ensures no other user can utilise that equipment.

As you can see from the screen shot on the right Caplum records every aspect of a circuit. In this example of an IPT handset it records the logical equipment in the IPT server and then the physical switch that the device is plugged into. The blue section shows the patch panels, patches and cables as the circuit winds through the network until it finally arrives at a socket. The last box shows the device(s) plugged into the socket. At any time any of these boxes can be selected to drill into more information.

Caplum displays a lot of it's data with generated graphical representations. The left hand side diagram shows a rack view which details all equipment in a rack, what is patched etc.

This is an active screen which will provide more information as you hover over an element or click on it to drill into further detail. Similar views are available for wiring centers, non structured cabling.
